How to Share Content to Prism

Anywhere you see a share button on your phone, you can send that content straight to Prism for analysis. Here's how it works.

What Is the Share Sheet?

Both iOS and Android have a built-in feature called the share sheet. It's the menu that appears when you tap the share icon ( on iOS, on Android) in any app. It lets you send content — a link, a photo, a piece of text — from one app to another.

Once Prism is installed, it registers itself as a share target on your device. That means it automatically appears as an option in your share sheet, ready to receive whatever content you want analyzed.

What You Can Share

Prism can receive and analyze content from virtually any app on your phone. If it has a share button, you can send it to us.

News Articles

Share a link from any news app or mobile browser to have the article analyzed.

YouTube Videos

Share a video link directly from the YouTube app or a browser.

Social Media Posts

Share posts from Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, and more.

Screenshots & Photos

Share an image from your photo library or a screenshot of content you want analyzed.

Any Link

Blog posts, podcasts, opinion pieces — if you can share a URL, we can analyze it.

Text & Quotes

Select and share text from any app to have a specific claim or quote analyzed.

Sharing on iPhone (iOS)

1

Find the share button

Look for the square with an upward arrow. You'll find it in Safari, News, YouTube, social media apps, the Photos app, and almost everywhere else.

2

Tap the share button

The iOS share sheet will slide up from the bottom of your screen, showing a row of app icons and a list of actions.

3

Select Prism

Scroll through the app icons to find Prism and tap it. If you don't see it right away, scroll to the end and tap More to find it in the full list.

4

Submit for analysis

Prism will open with the shared content ready to go. Tap Analyze to start the analysis.

Tip: To make Prism easier to find, you can move it to the front of your share sheet. Open the share sheet, scroll to More, tap Edit, and drag Prism to your preferred position.

Sharing on Android

1

Find the share button

Look for the three connected dots or the word "Share." You'll find it in Chrome, YouTube, social media apps, the Gallery, and most other apps.

2

Tap the share button

The Android share sheet will appear, showing a list of apps that can receive the content.

3

Select Prism

Find Prism in the list and tap it. On some devices, you may need to scroll down or tap More to see all available apps.

4

Submit for analysis

Prism will open with the shared content loaded. Tap Analyze to start the analysis.

Tip: On most Android devices, frequently used share targets are automatically promoted to the top of the list. The more you share to Prism, the easier it becomes to find.

Sharing from Your Photo Library

See something in your social feed that you want to fact-check? Take a screenshot, then share it to Prism. You can also share any existing photo from your camera roll or gallery.

1

Open your Photos app

On iOS, open Photos. On Android, open Gallery or Google Photos.

2

Select the image

Tap the screenshot or photo you want to analyze.

3

Tap share and select Prism

Use the share button to open the share sheet, then select Prism. The app will process the image and extract the content for analysis.

Troubleshooting

I don't see Prism in my share sheet

Make sure Prism is installed and you're signed in. On iOS, you may need to scroll to the right or tap More to find it. On Android, try scrolling down in the share sheet. If you recently installed the app, try restarting your device.

The content didn't load correctly

Some apps share content differently. If a link or image doesn't come through as expected, try copying the URL and pasting it directly into Prism, or take a screenshot and share the image instead.

Can I share content from a desktop browser?

Prism's share feature is designed for mobile devices. On desktop, you can copy a URL and paste it directly into the app.
